Rosenberg Drops the Hammer

The AP reports Donald Rosenberg, the Cleveland Plain Dealer critic ousted from the Cleveland Orchestra beat, is suing both the paper and the orchestra.

Rosenberg has been a relentless critic of Cleveland Orchestra music director Franz Welser-Möst, who recently re-upped with the orchestra, much to the surprise of many. Baltimore Sun music critic Tim Smith has more juicy details. I know that I’m not the only one waiting to see what the  discovery and deposition process shakes out of the tree.

UPDATE: The AP has posted a more detailed article, and the NY TimesDaniel Wakin weighs in with more details plus comments from Rosenberg.
