What the heck took them so long?
Roberts bungled the handling of such artists as Yundi Li and Lang Lang, ignored the “long tail” of Internet sales, and demolished the credibility of both Deutsche Grammophon and Decca (not to mention effectively killing Philips as a label). It’s going to take a huge effort to pull Uni into the 21st century, but an investment in a team that knows the music, understands deep catalogue and has some marketing savvy would pay for itself quickly.
