Gene Gaudette is Managing Partner of Gaudette & Associates. He has nearly thirty years of experience within the music industry as a video, recording and interactive media producer, A&R director, product marketing strategist, artistic advisor, retail and record label manager, music journalist, database developer, composer, conductor and arranger, and is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences.
Gaudette is also the co-founder with Jeff Koopersmith of American Politics Journal Publications. APJ Publications’ flagship Web site, American Politics Journal, is the home of the oldest continuously operating publication of online political opinion, originally launched in 1989 on CompuServe. Its e-mail bulletin is presently published three times a week and reaches over 50,000 public servants, political professionals, journalists, political activists and “Beltway junkies”. Gaudette serves as an editorial advisor and management consultant to APJ Publications.
Gaudette’s media production unit creates a wide variety of top-flight commercial and professional media — from remastering of archival and historic sound recordings using its proprietary Suite 294 mobile digital mastering and restoration technology to cutting-edge interactive media and television spots.
In 2001, Gaudette was appointed Chairman of the Foundation for Internet Action and Internet Action PAC; he is also a lobbyist and senior partner with the political consulting firm Curson Koopersmith.
Gaudette has lectured on music business and recording history at the University of Connecticut and the Smithsonian Institution.
Gaudette is a graduate of the Hartt School, University of Hartford. He lives in New York.
