The AP reports Donald Rosenberg, the Cleveland Plain Dealer critic ousted from the Cleveland Orchestra beat, is suing both the paper and the orchestra.
Rosenberg has been a relentless critic of Cleveland Orchestra music director Franz Welser-Möst, who recently re-upped with the orchestra, much to the surprise of many. Baltimore Sun music critic Tim Smith has more juicy details. I know that I’m not the only one waiting to see what the discovery and deposition process shakes out of the tree.
UPDATE: The AP has posted a more detailed article, and the NY Times‘ Daniel Wakin weighs in with more details plus comments from Rosenberg.
